About the event
Helping Women Own it! An Introduction to women-focused entrepreneurial support and resources.
Utah currently ranks as the top state to start a business and the best economy, but also the worst state for women's equality*. The opportunity for women to thrive in business is possible and the Women's Business Center of Utah (WBCUtah) is helping us  access the opportunity through women-focused entrepreneurial services and advocacy.   Join WIN Park City to hear from WBCUtah State Director, Ann Marie Wallace, who will share initiatives and support organizations impacting women business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs in Park City. Learn about the technical assistance the center offers to help women run purposeful and profitable businesses, as well as "Buy Women Own!" efforts that can bring more customers to your business website and storefront.Â
Ann Marie Wallace is the state director of the Women's Business Center of Utah, responsible for advancing WBCUtah's statewide mission and brand while inspiring a team serving women business owners in every county in the State of Utah. During her more than 13 years at WBCUtah, she has taken the center online and statewide. In the past three years, she has doubled the staff and budget and tripled the number of women owners served. Ann Marie is passionate about ensuring Utah women have confidence, opportunities and the support they need to run purposeful and profitable businesses.
Ann Marie currently serves as Co-Spoke Leader of the "A Bolder Way Forward" Movement, Board Member of Mountain West Small Business Finance, Vice Chair of Salt Lake City's Economic Development Loan Fund, and Chair of Cache Valley Chamber's Women In Business committee. She earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Utah State University.
